Is there a Consultation Fee?

A surgical consultation requires a non-refundable consultation fee. This fee is applied 100% towards ANY future surgery, so as long as you have any surgery with Dr. Truesdale, it is essentially a free consultation. Surgical consult fees cannot be applied to non-surgical treatments unless Dr. Truesdale determines you are not a candidate for any surgery.

The first step in the journey is a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Truesdale. During that time, you will share your goals, he will evaluate your face, and provide his expert opinion on the best treatment plan and surgical approach. Expectations, results, methods, and risks will all be discussed. Dr. Truesdale will take the time to make sure you understand the plan and feel fully informed and comfortable with the surgical plan.

You will then meet with your patient care coordinator (PCC) to discuss scheduling, cost and the payment plan, and your pre-operative instructions. We can schedule you for surgery as soon as you pay the surgical deposit.

The deposit is required to schedule and hold your surgery appointment time. When you are ready to pay this fee, please call the office and we will gladly schedule your appointment.

We accept all major credit / debit cards, cash, or offer patient financing through four providers:

Does Dr. Truesdale Perform All Types of Facelifts?

While Dr. Truesdale specializes in the deep plane facelift, which is the most natural-looking and longest-lasting of all facelift types, he can expertly perform a variety of facelift techniques. Based on your consultation, he will recommend the best type of facelift for you. For instance, he can also perform a mid-facelift, a surgical procedure that lifts the cheek. This procedure addresses one of the earliest signs of aging – sagging of the cheeks and surrounding areas. If you have a specific type of facelift in mind, such as a “mini-facelift,” you can share your questions and desired outcomes with Dr. Truesdale during your consultation and he will provide a personalized recommendation.

A Message from Dr. Truesdale

“My goal is to keep the essence of the patient without making them look like a different person. Their skin and face should not look distorted, pulled, or “done.” Instead, the idea is to place the tissues to where they were 15-20 years previously, truly turning back the hands of time”

STILL UNSURE?Questions for Your Facelift Consultation

Do I have to be put to sleep/intubated to have a facelift?

During your consultation with Dr. Truesdale, you can discuss options to have your facelift awake with local anesthesia, or under deep sedation. If you’ve ever had a colonoscopy, deep sedation is similar to that. If you’re a candidate for an awake facelift, local anesthesia will be used to completely numb the area and other pain management methods such as Valium or laughing gas. Book a consultation with Dr. Truesdale to figure out what option is best for your unique situation.

How much time will I need to take off of work for a facelift?

Dr. Truesdale recommends that all of his patients take at least 1 week off of work. Most patients look great after 2 weeks and fantastic by 1 month.

Will a facelift hurt?

Dr. Truesdale’s deep plane facelift is the least painful of all facelift techniques. While you might experience discomfort, it is generally not a painful procedure. Most of his patients report using their prescribed pain medication for only 1-3 days after surgery.

Will a facelift make my face look stretched or pulled?

No! Dr. Truesdale prides himself on creating the most natural results possible. Dr. Truesdale wants you to look like you did 10-20 years ago, like yourself but more youthful. The special techniques he uses leave his patients looking natural and beautifully refreshed.

I'm afraid of scars on my face - how does Dr. Truesdale hide the facelift scars?

The scars are expertly hidden in the natural creases and folds surrounding the ear and in the hairline. They are very minimal scars that will heal and fade nicely over time.

Am I the right age for a facelift?

Contrary to popular belief, there is no “best age” for a facelift. The average age of a facelift may be in the 50s, but there are plenty of people in their 40s and even 30s who would benefit from a facelift – it all depends on the amount of skin laxity and your goals. Those in their 60s and above can also be great candidates for facelifts, in fact, Dr. Truesdale has performed facelifts safely and beautifully on patients in their upper 80s who are in good health.

How long does a deep plane facelift last?

Patients who have a deep plane facelift with Dr. Truesdale will always look better and will age less dramatically than if they had not had the procedure. Although every patient is different and your face and skin will continue to age, Dr. Truesdale’s results are very long-lasting. His goal is that you don’t think about facial rejuvenation again for another 10-15 years.

I'm interested in a specific type of facelift. What types of facelifts does Dr. Truesdale perform?

Dr. Truesdale is experienced with all types of facelifts. He will provide his expert opinion on the best procedure for you during your one-on-one consultation. His signature facelift is the deep plane facelift, which is the most natural and longest lasting of all facelift types, and is only offered by highly trained facial plastic surgeons. Dr. Truesdale frequently combines his deep plane facelift with other surgical procedures (including blepharoplasty, mid facelift, lip lift, fat transfer, and CO2 laser) for full facial rejuvenation that leaves patients looking 10-20 years younger.

How much does a facelift cost? Can I spread out my payments over time?

The cost of a facelift can vary based on the patient’s situation, including if it is a revision surgery and if this surgery will be combined with other procedures. Dr. Truesdale provides world class results at an excellent value. Call us today to inquire about the financial investment required for a facelift with Dr. Truesdale. We also offer four financing options if you’d like to spread your payments out over time.

What if I'm more interested in a neck lift than a facelift?

Dr. Truesdale’s signature deep plane facelift includes a face lift and a neck lift. If you’re more concerned with your neck than your face Dr. Truesdale does perform neck lifts alone. During your consultation, Dr. Truesdale will help you decide what the best option is for you.

When you look good, you feel good – and you’ve waited long enough. Dr. Truesdale and the team will answer all your questions about the procedure, the best options for you, and financing. We would be happy to walk you through how you can spread your payments out over time. Contact us today to schedule your consultation at Truesdale Facial Plastic Surgery.
